I could not talk or move, I just stood frozen and watching her walk up our hallway. I went downstairs and my Nan (I lived with my grandparents) said 'Are you ok, you look like you have seen a ghost', I just went mad saying what I had just seen a woman upstairs. My Grandad went up stairs to look to see if this old lady that lived across the road was who I had seen as she had a habit of mooching into peoples houses bless her but there was no sign of anyone. As I was describing who I had seen my Grandad and Nan looked at each other and my Grandad said that the lady I had seen sounded like his mother,

It was frightening, I saw a shadow man, my face morphed into someone elses in my bedroom mirror, my mother, my 3 sisters and I all had terrifying experiences. My mother a Registered Nurse and Medical Secretary had many family and friend connections who witnessed apparitions, voices, feelings of foreboding and dread. Appliances would turn on in the middle of the night, an ax from the garage (which was locked) was thrown thru one of our kitchen windows as we all slept, none of us heard the commotion we normally would have heard. The ax some how landed far to the side of the wall it faced that headed to our basement and was in the middle of the kitchen floor. Faces were seen during the winter peering into windows, when police were called there were no foot prints or any trace of anyone breaking into the garage, or leading to the windows where a male face was seen by my elder sister, her then fiancee, his friend Rick and my mother after a ski trip late at night. Doors opened and slammed we heard the dead bolts turn and the front or kitchen doors open, we would lock ourselves in my mothers bedroom and called the police, but when the police arrived, there was the dead bolt locked on every door. And many people refused to come to our house at any time of day or night, but I do believe the nights were the worst, though I felt the dread any time I had to be in that house. I personally ran away to get away from the dark presence in that house. I never returned to that home again, my mother remarried and they finally moved into a new home that was blessedly ghost free.
