Internet Marketing In The Age Of Google Article
Internet Marketing In The Age Of GoogleNot so much a comment on the article itself, more an observation on the subject matter.
Last week I read that Google are in a bidding war to buy up the remaining frequencies for the Mobile Phone network in the UK. Obviously they've got the deepest pockets, so they're bound to win.
Anyhoo, after they've indexed all our phone calls so they can randomly inject advertising messages into the pauses (imagine how easy that'd be?), taken over marketing on the internet, and broken into TV (which they already have slightly) when do you think they'll be indicted for monopolisation like Bill gates and his cronies were in 2000?
Or have they taken over the laws as well now?
Every day is one day closer to Google's New Detroit and cybotic law inforcement programs.
I just hope we make enough money soon enough to escape before it happens
I'm not sure if I want to laugh or stand away, for fear of lightning striking that site?!
I am shocked about something though  Northie, why aren't you in their hate mail section?
As for Griff's question  not being a cell phone owner, nor living in the UK, this latest thing with Google doesn't scare me too much, personally, but it does make me question if maybe it ought to bother me. Be really frightening, if all this time I've been worried about supermedia conglomerations taking over the Internet, I should have been concerned with an Internet icon taking it all over.
Monopoly?! Sorry, American here, so kinda fond of seeing folks make big, big bucks through good old fashion capitalism. Yeah,http://www.michaelkors-here.net/, also on the fence about "how far is too far?" Weird thought, even if we disagree with what Google is doing, isn't it close to godish level for an inanimate object? Do any of us care about what DogPile, Alexa, or even MSN and Yahoo do, compared to Google? Is it only me that just searches Google 99% of the time? Is this fear worthy of boycotting Google, and, if we do, ummmm, where do we go?!
Ha ha ha
I read some of those hate mail messages
It strikes me that most of the people writing those messages have strong religious beliefs (I, for the record, have none) and that people with strong religious beliefs get very insulted when others put forward their own ideas.
I have nothing against people believing whatever they want as long as it never has a negative effect on anyone else; and hate mail is just that  negative..
