The next morning was cloudy and foggy and the sea was as smooth as glass. After a bit of depth experimentation, Ernie hooked an incredible black bass. Unfortunately, that very same fish managed to find his way out of the bucket and back into the water. When this rockfish escaped, it was up to me to land the next potential surprise dinner. At the depth of ��half way down,�� I found my first black bass as well.
