Cortez added their third goal of the first half after a long pass led to a run out by Christopher Villarreal. The Colts took the 3-0 lead into halftime and the match that was billed as a must-see battle was a one-sided affair.
Basha junior Trey Ronayne doesn’t care, but was happy that the surgery that ended his season last year brought him back stronger than ever for this junior year to go undefeated and win the Division I 170-pound title.
"It's like I tell all my guys," Barbee said. "Life is about decision making. If you continue to make the wrong decisions in this program, you're letting everybody know you can't be a part of it anymore."
Heidi Dahms-Foster Editorial ManagerHow quickly life changes. I have been a reader and book lover since I was a small child. Books have been my teachers,Coho salmon practically burst with flavor. Halibut, my friends, my escape, my recreation and my inspiration. It was nothing to fill every bookshelf in the house, and have stacks of books on every spare surface and available floor space. If I took on a new hobby or needed to learn a new skill, I had to first go and buy as many books about the subject as I could afford. I took great pride in collecting books, and a book sale - such as the ones our local library friends run on a regular basis - were a treasure trove to me. My bookshelves still hold tomes on gardening, cooking (I don't use those much), dogs, fiction and non-fiction inspiration, how-to missives, books on sailing (I love to read about people who sail solo around the world, though I'm not so sure I'd like to try it myself!) and shelves full of miscellaneous titles. When my husband and I built a large family room addition on to our tiny house, we specifically requested an entire wall-sized bookshelf. It's beautiful, and it's full. We are true book addicts. We easily could spend $100 in a swift jaunt down the center aisle of the Barnes and Noble store that, regrettably, is no longer in Prescott. You'll notice I describe many of my book experiences in the past tense. That's not because I don't still love books. I'm more of a reader than ever. But technology dragged me kicking and screaming into the future. I was such a book snob. I told everyone loudly and clearly, "I want to feel a real book in my hands!" My husband bought me one book reader that truly wasn't very user friendly, and it proved my point. Until the tablet revolution. We bought our tablets because we liked the convenience of getting on the internet, writing notes and lists, taking photos and all of the other things these little miracles do. Then, declined to talk about details of the crash, I reluctantly ordered a book or two, and the rest is history. The beauty of the tablet is that I can store an entire library of books without making my house look like a hoarder is in residence. Tablet books are more reasonably priced, easier to read in bed (my husband used to worry when I'd fall asleep and drop my latest hardbound tome on his head), and wonder of wonders, my tablet is backlit so I can read in the dark! The instant gratification part of my personality loves being able to instantly download my new books. We've since donated most of our fiction books, excepting of course my dog-eared copy of the Far Pavilions, ugg uk, which I consider one of the best fiction books I've ever read. I can't bear to part with all the garden, dog, sailing and inspirational books, but the bookshelves no longer are threatening to collapse.Oh, I still browse the book sections in stores, but now it's for titles I can go home and order on the tablet! I still order every book I can find about whatever subject I'm currently pursuing, and social media serves up discounted book lists that drive me daily to the internet to purchase them. My virtual bookshelf certainly is groaning. In fact, I'm waiting for my Cloud to start raining books!Don't get me wrong, however. Our local libraries still are a wonderful place to be. You also might be surprised to see how well they have kept up with technology,So our collective mission became this, and yes, they have ebooks to borrow. From book snob to book geek. Ain't technology grand?
* Take advantage of low-mileage discounts. Some carriers offer discounts to drivers who put less than a predetermined number of miles on their vehicles each year. If you’re only using your car to drive to your kids’ houses, the grocery store, the mall and the gym, this could be a money-saving opportunity.
Nothing makes a small room look more cramped than filling it with furnishings that are too big for the space. For example, if your living room is 10 by 12, a 9-foot-long sofa is going to dominate the room and leave little space for anything else. Conversely, placing a smaller bed (such as a twin or single) in a modestly sized bedroom is a classic trick designers and home stagers use to make a bedroom look larger.
