DOING A NUMBER ... The drama of the Republican Party's heartburn with its own front-runner in the U.S. Senate race continues to intrigue earwigs. The latest poll by PPP (Public Policy Polling), an organization that may or may not favor Democrats, says Sarah Palin can easily win the Republican primary, even though 46 percent polled no longer consider her an Alaskan,Paul was thicker when he arrived at Wake Forest, but she can't beat Mark Begich in the general.
To anyone fascinated with the weapons used during that most terrible conflict of the 20th Century,gen6878, the Boeing B-17 is a favorite because of all it accomplished.
There are certainly more inspiring beers out there, but no one really drinks for tradition anymore. It’s flavor that counts. I just like the mention the ones I reach for every year at about this time. Besides, there’s so much great, fresh, local stuff closer to home. Especially from the increasing number of tap lines showing up in growler bars, you can fire for traditional effect or chase down your tried and true.
Though testing has improved, Carter said, and could be linked to the increase cases of Valley Fever, he also suspects there are just more people getting the disease.
Akron resident Lani Rothstein's cheese and noodle kugel is the type often made at Yom Kippur. After not eating for 24 hours, there is a traditional meal to break the fast, which often is a meatless meal featuring dairy dishes like Rothstein's kugel,Williams Field, which contains cottage cheese, butter and sour cream, with a sweet crumb topping. She said the recipe is very traditional.
I am respectful of nature, as any true woodsman is. My truck doesn’t have an oil leak so I regularly stray off the main roads and across creeks. I pack out more than I pack in as a rule—with a few exceptions. I refuse to pack out poop because to me that’s just stupid. Why remove fertilizer from the forest? Sure, in California there are hundreds of thousands of people coming out of the city every weekend without a clue and crapping all over the place, and that’s damaging. Mt. McKinley has a poo problem and I get it, that’s one of the reasons I have no desire to climb that specific mountain (maybe Everest someday, but that’s a different story). But for the love of God when you’re in the forest and you feel the need to handle your business, cheap air max, dig a hole and bury it. It’s as simple as that. One of the reasons I wear a pretty formidable sheath knife is because it can do a lot of things, like dig a hole. There is a drive-to camp site on the south side of Kenai Lake that is breathtaking. But if you take three steps into the trees you’ll see a minefield of white toilet paper tufts.
