In the end, we’re left with a tonally inconsistent production that brings its script only partially to life. Nevertheless, a partially realized Pinter play makes for an engaging and thought-provoking evening of theater. The cast is skilled and likable and the production is staged with a consistent competence that ensures it is engaging and watchable throughout. To fully explore every nook and cranny of a Harold Pinter script is impossible. While I wished this production had gone deeper and shined its light further into the shadowed recesses of Betrayal, I was grateful for a chance to see any of it illuminated.
