Since the beginning of at least 2005, the term smart grid has become synonymous with new age technology for energy distribution, infrastructure and efficiency. Smart Grids explore modern  Insanity technology for the storage and transport of electricity as well as the infrastructure needed to transport energy resources between producers and consumers.
So what exactly is a smart grid? A Smart grid is a form of electricity network that delivers two-way electricity using digital communication and helps in controlling appliances at the consumers' homes. It overlays the ordinary electrical grid with an information and net metering system, that can also include smart meters. Like existing grids, these smart grids keep a track of all the electricity or rather energy flowing into a system by using an intelligent monitoring system. The capacity of the smart grid to integrate conventional and renewable electricity and power sets it apart from its predecessors. For a normal consumer it is the "power to switch an equipment on or off when electricity is least expensive". However, a Smart Grid is not a substitute, but an enhancement for a real grid.
With the recent changes on how the world has started taking notice of depleting fossil fuels, smart grids have become more so essential as we move towards an economy in renewable energy. Nowadays, a large number  Zumba of consumers, organizations are beginning to generate electricity through renewable sources and hence are enabled to sell their surplus store of  Insanity The Asylum energies to their  P90X utilities. A bi-directional metering system is  Beachbody hence required to compensate local producers of power. However, the smart grid is not limited to distribution but also to the transmission grids. In contrast to this, there is also the probability of these grids being "attacked" i.e. if a digitally controlled device alters the nature of the electrical load, it may result in electricity demand that is incompatible with a power system that was built to serve an analog economy. This will lead to electric service reliability problems like power quality disturbances, blackouts and brownouts.

According to the United States Department of Energy's Modern Grid Initiative report, a smart grid must:
 * Motivate consumers to actively participate in operations of the grid
 * Provide higher quality power that will save money wasted from outages
 * Accommodate all generation and storage options
 * Enable electricity markets to flourish
 * Run electricity more efficiently
 * Enable higher penetration of intermittent power generation sources
 * Be able to heal itself
 * Resist attack (to man-made or natural disruptions)
The advocacy of smart grids for energy distribution, infrastructure and efficiency has increased over the last couple of years and predictions are rife that the US smart grid industry might grow from US$69.3 billion in 2009 to more than US$ 171.4 billion by 2014! Hence, it would be safe to bet on smart grids and the technological advantage it brings with it.
We would love to hear your take on smart grids. We will continue posting interesting articles on smart grids and its opportunities over a period of time. Feel free to leave a comment on what aspect of smart grid  Brazil Butt Lift dvd technology you would like to know about, and we might just get our expert team to publish it for you!
