There s a tiny Mexican flag next to the flaming fajitas, which is noted as one of the most popular Mexico City dishes, although fajitas are a Tex-Mex tradition.

The Desert Mountain girls basketball team went 19-10 this past season,
at the same time, and Kasey McCravey was a large part of that success. As it turns out, she was just warming up. McCravey ended the basketball year as the teams second-leading scorer, dropping in 10.4 points per game. She led the team in assists (5.6) and steals (2.9) per game, and added 3.8 rebounds. Her numbers were even more impressive in the spring when she moved over to the diamond. The senior shortstop batted .508 with six homers and 47 RBIs, and broke her own school record for hits in a season with 61. McCravey, a three-time All-Tribune first-team infielder, will play softball for West Point next year.

A. I m excited about it. You get to do this every four years. It s the first time we ve done it. The good thing about is you get 10 practice. We ve had eight of them. In the month of July, we went once a week. When July ended,
but that s just me., recruiting ended and we got three or four in since we ve been off the road. It s a great time to get the guys together, and you can experiment a little bit, do some things that you want to see, different combinations. It s great for freshmen. They get a chance to get some experience that they otherwise would not have gotten until the fall. They ve got eight practices under their belt. They understand the terminology and little bit more and the expectations a little bit more. They ll get a chance to go against outside competition. And it s a great opportunity for us to bond as a team. For the next 10 days, we ll be out of the country and out of their comfort zone, and we ll have to rely on each other. We ll get a chance to get some great cultural experiences for the guys. We ve got a couple of guys on the team that are from Europe. They ll help our guys a little bit. For most of these guys, it ll be their first trip out of the country to a place they ve only read about or seen on TV. I m looking forward to that, and I think we ll play against some good competition.
