We start with the end in mind: what does success look like and what’s the goal or objective? We then identify the target audiences we must persuade to reach the objective, and then develop a strategy. Finally, identify and engage messengers — those people your target audience will pay attention to or accept the message from. In other words, we find the right influencers.

Dr. Francisco A. Moreno has been appointed as deputy dean for diversity and inclusion, a new leadership position, at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. Moreno will lead the college’s existing diversity and inclusion efforts for students, residents, faculty and staff, coordinating and evaluating programs in a larger, integrated initiative. In addition to overseeing the UA College of Medicine Office of Outreach and Multicultural Affairs and Arizona Hispanic Center of Excellence, he will work with the offices of admissions, student affairs, student development,
