Penny Fletcher of Willcox died Feb. 6, 2013 in Tucson at the age of 68. She was born at home on Lopez Island, Wash., on March 31, 1944 to Clifford and Doris Anderson, joining her two older sisters, and grew up there. The family moved from the south end of Lopez to farm in mid-island,Of the 56 available qualifying spots, and she enjoyed being part of a farming family. Living on a farm taught her at an early age to work hard, and she reflected that work ethic all her life. Penny was friendly, outgoing and dedicated to her family, work and church. She was the store manager at Maid Rite Feeds and if you couldn’t remember her name she would tape a penny to the back of your hand so you wouldn’t forget. She was a member of Grace Chapel. On June 27, 1968 in Everett, Wash. she married Gary Fletcher who survives her. Also surviving are her daughters Karen (William) Geyer of Millington, Tenn. and Tracy (Chris) Rhoades of Willcox along with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Penny is survived by her sisters Caroline (Patrick) Lee, Virginia (Gerald) Fleming, Minerva Rosas, Carol (Raul) Joy and Andrea Anderson and family and her brother Clifford S. Anderson. Preceding her in death was a sister Christina, a brother Andy and her parents. Memorial Services will be 4 p.m. on Tuesday,the most specific, at Grace Chapel in Willcox. On line condolences may be extended to the family at . Services entrusted to Westlawn Chapel, Mortuary and Crematory of Willcox, Ariz.
