It is crispy on the outside and as rare as you’d like it on the inside, and the Food Network named it one of the best steaks in the U.S. Other Musky favorites include scallop-stuffed mushrooms (mushroom caps filled with scallops and served in a pool of garlic butter and white wine sauce with a side of jalapeno cheesebread) and coconut salmon, which is basically salmon that’s been rolled in coconut, deep fried and served with a sweet and sour plum sauce. This is to say nothing of the gumbo, which is prepared with one of the darkest and most flavorful roux I’ve had chance to enjoy. Beyond the food, this place has soul and lots of Louisiana flair, buttons, and memorabilia that make it feel like it’s always Mardi Gras. Laissez le bons temps rouler!
