How To Survive Working In Retail

シャネル ピアス,863,900 by the year 2018. I am no exception. I work for a major retail establishment, the name of which I won't mention due to my company's policy on social networking. I started out in frozen foods, then moved to the meat department, then skipped a couple of rungs on the ladder and made customer service manager, then hopped off the ladder altogether when I took a position at the customer service desk.
Do you work in retail? Are you on your feet 8 hours a day, dealing with irate customers, out-of-touch managers, and disgruntled co-workers? Then this lens is for you. I will share some tips, some "tricks of the trade" if you will, that will (hopefully!) make your day a little easier. And make YOU a little easier to get along with!

If you're on your feet for 8 hours a day, and most retail workers are, then you must have comfortable shoes. MUST. Have. Comfortable. Shoes
プラダ 新作. It's a no-brainer, but you would be surprised how many people, especially women, are willing to sacrifice comfort for style. You don't have to do that! You can be stylish and comfortable.
One thing I've learned in my years of working in retail is that when it comes to shoes, you get what you pay for. If you buy cheap shoes, they're going to wear out quickly and you're going to have to buy new ones and before you know it, you've gone through 8 pairs of cheap shoes in 6 months when you could have just gotten a good pair to begin with. Don't skimp on the shoes. Painful tootsies make the day go by a hundred times slower and make you more miserable.
I have some co-workers who won't wear anything BUT Crocs. I personally do not like them. The little bumpy things inside KILL me! But, like most things, they have a definite fan base. If they're what you prefer, great! But please stick with black, brown, or navy. It looks so unprofessional to me to see someone wearing hot pink rubber shoes to work

Also, be sure to check with your HR Department to find out whether or not open back or sling-back shoes are allowed at your job. If not, Croc does make some closed-back shoes, so look around

プラダ バッグ? So there are going to be people who are hard to get along with. Customers who blame you for everything they can't find. Co-workers who bite your head off every time their break is late. Managers who think you should be willing to work 7 days a week. It's inevitable. And it's stressful. Don't take it personally
バーバリー マフラー. You're awesome and whether you realize it or not, you're doing a very important job. Think about the mother who needs Tylenol for her sick baby and can't find what she needs. You help her and suddenly you're her hero! Or the sweet little old lady who bought the wrong kind of cereal and you help her return it and get what she needs instead
ココシャネル. It's all about the attitude. There's not much you can do to change the people around you

Focus instead on those rare moments when you get to walk away knowing you've made a difference, however small, in someone's day. You'll be surprised how much positive energy you can attract when you make up your mind to focus on positive things!
