Rafflesia Pearl Centre director Winnie Sin and the show's executive producer, franchise holder and head judge Amber Chia presented the prizes to the top three winners of both the male and female categories, as well as the show's eight finalists.

Sin said the annual Christmas dinner was held to fete their VIP clients, celebrity friends and media acquaintances.
"This year's event doubled as a prize presentation for the winners of the contest, of which we were one of the sponsors," she said

Noting that the local male clientele are more conservative with the type of accessories they wear compared with their Hong Kong counterparts, Sin said it was an ongoing effort to educate the men that jewellery was not meant to be only worn by women.
"I hope to see more men wear jewellery. It need not be something showy like a string of white pearls; it can be something simple like a single black pearl worn around the neck or as buttons for a vest or coat.
"Pearls are classic precious stones that can be worn day or night.
"The design of the jewellery depends on the person's characteristics like physical features, skin colour, height and shape

Sin said she was fussy about the type of occasion and how she would match her jewellery to her outfit, as it was especially important for her as a jeweller to be seen as one who would be able to wear jewellery well.
